Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportcaster. She is currently a sportscaster for ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been so since the age of nine. Her ability in this area has helped her get her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work as a producer for national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this, the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. She was a reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. She covered stories about the issue of immigration and trafficking drugs in both Texas and Mexico. She was also often asked to fill in as an anchor for the weather or sports. Then she anchor and wrote to Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. She also covered major events such as the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason and finals FC Dallas as well. Additionally, she was the producer of Univision 23's local sports broadcast Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was the anchor. The anchor was also anchor for the sports segment of Despierta America Deportes morning show. In addition, she served as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in Veracruz, Mexico. They moved in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She's younger than her sister. The family moved into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. In June of 2006, she visited a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working at the time. Antonietta, a high-school senior having a clear idea of where she envisioned her future career would be like, visited Mount Union University to see whether it was a good fit for her. It was discovered that she liked the campus as well as the fact that it offered the degree she was looking for. After completing her high school education, she enrolled in the university to study media studies. They developed a lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the managing director at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his passion about journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
